If something goes wrong early in the installation, you might find that some installation files have been left on your hard disk. These will be in a directory named
C:\BLUEINST
It is always safe to delete this directory, whether from within DOS, Windows or Linux.
If you don't correctly choose your hardware (for example you specify an incorrect mouse type or port), the X server may hang on startup and not run normally. If this occurs, you can always shut down the X server by typing <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <Backspace>.
If your first choice of X server is incorrect, you can install a new X server by logging in as root and typing:
remove_xserver
Then follow the instructions in section Installing the X server.
